Workshops
Coaching Skills for Managers
The workshops are designed to help managers improve their capacity to adopt a coaching style of management and identify when it's appropriate to do so. They are highly experiential, to maximise self-awareness, opportunity for feedback and practical learning.
Both consultants delivering the workshop are practicing coaches who can share their experience of coaching with attendees.
The workshops are aimed at providing:
- Coaching clarity
- Understanding how coaching as a manager is distinct from mentoring, external coaching, counselling, etc.
- Self-awareness
- Identifying their natural coaching style and how it differs from other styles.
- New coaching skills
- Building on their natural styles to deliver more effective coaching to a wider range of people.
- Specific skills
- Useful models and practice of questioning, listening and feedback skills.
- Practice sessions
- Attendees are asked to work on real work scenarios in the practice sessions.
Feedback from previous workshops include:
From Learning & Development Director:
"The evaluation sheets were just about the best I have ever seen for a management course."
From attendees:
"Excellent in all aspects; was universal for all involved and the transfer of skills and knowledge was very well managed."
"A subtly effective course, very suitable for managers and very effectively delivered."
